On days like this, it is easy to sit and reflect.

I think that most would find themselves reflecting on good things, however and unfortunately, there are some that can only reflect and think of the bad things.

The apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 4:8; "Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things."

This surely beats the alternative!

The big Red-Headed Woodpecker, that comes around often was here this morning and the past few days we have had a new visitor; an Indigo Bunting.  No pictures of either, but I did get this Northern Mockingbird this afternoon.

If you  notice the damage and distortions to the bird feeder, it is because of the marbles that I shoot from a slingshot at the miserable squirrels.  The squirrel is still alive...

This picture is a wildflower that returned from last years planting.  I am still trying to figure out why would purchase Annuals and not Per-annuals.  Home Depot and Lowe's are making bib bucks each Spring in the Lawn and Garden section.

It is like burying money in the ground and when you dig it up, it is decayed beyond use...  No return on the investment.  I would rather have an Hydrangea than a Geranium.  I know... there are exceptions.

Back the the wildflower.  I took the photo with a 'macro' lends with extension tube attached between the lens and the camera, which makes it a more close up picture.  I have a function on my photo processing software that adds the 'burst' look.  In order to keep the center of the photo as taken, I selected the area so it would not be part of the 'burst' effect.

We went to one of Jack's baseball game yesterday, which was in Woodstock, GA, and after we continued on the Cartersville, GA.  We ate lunch at The City Cellar Restaurant, which is on Railroad Street.  Great place to eat lunch.  There were a number of antique automobile enthusiasts there as well as their automobiles.  I'll post those pictures later.

The antebellum home is on one side of the spectrum and, as the Allstate agent says, "Trust Me!' there is another side as well.  Notice the detail of the columns and capitals in the cropped photo (Click on the photo to enlarge the detail).

This is the cupola on top of the city or county offices.

This sign cannot but catch your attention.  It is on the side of Young Brothers Pharmacy, which happened to be closed at mid-afternoon on Saturday.

Perennial flowers are the best...  I planted these wildflowers last year and it took a while for them to come up and blossom.  They went away in the late fall only to pop up by themselves this in the spring.

I can see having annuals as hanging plants, but not for planting in the ground.

We are having a Yard Sale today, along with others from our community.  That is, if it stops raining...

Yard sales have changed.  I have been at a yard sale where an item was priced at $ 5.00 and someone asks if they will take $ 1.00.  You can tell, even before you get there, by the sub-divsion, if most of the items sold are baby things.  Clothing is a big item at yard sales.  I am amazed that there are some yard sales that seem to open many times during the year.

The communities that are for the 55 and above crowd are a great place to go.

I am intrigued by some of the items available and the pricing of them.  Some have great sentimental value, some are rare to find items, and some are just a great bargain, even at the price on the item.

This wildflower is what come up from a patch that was planted last year in the backyard.

My kind of flower...particularly after seeing how many people were buying new plants at Lowe's and Home Depot yesterday.  Yes, we were among them.

Artificial plants and flowers not good enough?  Why buy annuals when you can buy perennials? 

I am reminded of quote by Alan Redpath, if my memory serves me correctly, "Excuses only satisfies the one who makes them."
