October 19, 2015

We hiked up the trail at Amicalola Falls yesterday after church.  It is about 1/3rd of a mile, but very steep and difficult.  One can drive up the road that leads to the Lodge at he top and walk to the falls on the West Trail, which is easy.

The foliage is is its beginning stages, but in the Spring, the water confluence is much better due to the winter run-off.

The first two picture were taken at different focal lengths, the second was zoomed in more.

The next picture was taken from the parking lot and the lens was zoomed all the way (300mm) for a lose up to the top of the falls.

The next is of the brook, which is next to the trail.

Lastly, a wider angle of the falls with the bridge that is just below them.
