Today, we traveled from Bergen to Stavanger and noticed a change in the terrain, which was very rocky.  Many rock outcroppings and in the fields, that had many sheep grazing, there were many boulders.

The other photos were taken while we waited for one of the two ferries needed to complete the trip.  The view, while we waited to board, a jelly fish, a seagull, and the ferry.

Time for a little trivia... Tunnels and Suspension Bridges.

What would you guess as to the number of tunnels in Norway?

How long is the longest?

How many MILES of tunnels in Norway?

There are over 900 tunnels.

The longest is a little over 15 miles in length.

They even have 'Round-Abouts' in some of them... the picture below is one of them.

There are over 465 miles of tunnels in Norway.

Do you think the Norwegians might have 'tunnel-vision?"

There are 28 Suspension Bridges in Norway.  Did you know that there are 85 Suspension Bridges in the United States?  Putting it into perspective, that is 1 per every 3300 square miles in Norway and 1 per 44500 square miles in the United States.

Note that the first picture has at one end an entrance to a tunnel.  How cool is that?
