January 21, 2015

I walk on the Big Creek Walkway and took my camera the past two days.  This Winter has been exceptionally dreary in Georgia.  It seems that we have had fewer sunny days.

These pictures are a contrast in dreariness.  These is no green this time of year on the 'Greenway.'  Much of the walkway was flooded recently and the first picture is after the water subsided.  If I did it in Black and White, it would remind me of the "Petrified Forest."  I can hear Humphrey Bogart now...



The next picture reveals what can happen when one looks around; or up.  A dead tree, but the composition allows for some beauty to show through. 

I read somewhere that as you are taking a picture of a subject, to look around to see what else would be of interest and to move around to take a picture from a different angle/perspective.
