The candle was taken at our table in a restaurant in Bergen and the others are different views as we traveled. The middle picture was taken from the front of a ferry. The picture on the bottom was taken from the front seat of the car, as we were moving at about 50-60 kph. Many of the pictures of the different views were taken as this.

The next few posts will be filling in with some of the pictures that have not been posted. Today, are from the Park in the center of Stavanger.
There were not many flowers in bloom due to the colder weather that they are experiencing this year. We were told that the apple blossoms are blooming later this year. I will note that as we were in Oslo, I did notice that more flowers were in bloom and I think that the climate is a little better on that side of Norway.
Rhododendrons were plentiful as were pansies. It was interesting and I think that I am correct in saying that the blue pansy was the only color that I saw, although I did not see all of them.
There were many birds at the park. I do not have the swan that was there. I did get the 'Bird Lady...' Was Mary Poppins from Norway?

Today, we traveled from Bergen to Stavanger and noticed a change in the terrain, which was very rocky. Many rock outcroppings and in the fields, that had many sheep grazing, there were many boulders.
The other photos were taken while we waited for one of the two ferries needed to complete the trip. The view, while we waited to board, a jelly fish, a seagull, and the ferry.

Time for a little trivia... Tunnels and Suspension Bridges.
What would you guess as to the number of tunnels in Norway?
How long is the longest?
How many MILES of tunnels in Norway?
There are over 900 tunnels.
There are over 465 miles of tunnels in Norway.
Do you think the Norwegians might have 'tunnel-vision?"
There are 28 Suspension Bridges in Norway. Did you know that there are 85 Suspension Bridges in the United States? Putting it into perspective, that is 1 per every 3300 square miles in Norway and 1 per 44500 square miles in the United States.
Note that the first picture has at one end an entrance to a tunnel. How cool is that?

There are over 900 tunnels.
The longest is a little over 15 miles in length.
They even have 'Round-Abouts' in some of them... the picture below is one of them.

We should be on a plane from to Norway, way had to change the trip to another airline, another time, and another day. Our outgoing flight from Atlanta was delayed beyond making the connections. By making these changes, we we arrive in Norway earlier than what dis-United offered originally, noting that the weather caused the delay. So what do you do when you find some extra time???
The three pictures below are of Starr Mill, between Fayetteville and Senoia, GA. I was working with the 'Vibrance" adjustments, which can be done in two different ways of which I am aware.
The first picture has not been 'shopped," for comparison. Take time to compare... Keep particular attention the the branches in the upper forefront. Remember, you can click once on the photos to enlarge them.
The second picture was adjusted utilizing the Vibrance Slider, that is in the adustment tools. The branches seem to 'pop' and and are brighter.
The third picture was done differently. Utilizing the Layers tools. I added, what is called and Overlay layer. From the Filter tools, I added a High Pass filter, which seems to make the same branches pops a little more.
Althought there is a difference, both adjustment are an improvement on the original.

We are leaving this evening to go to Norway. When thinking about some of the pictures that I want to get while there, I reminded myself of something that I shares last winter, when things were blah!
This picture is one of the results of that thought.
What is it?
Where is it?
We were having lunch at McQuire's in Senoia, Georgia ,not to be identified with McQuire's in Destin, Florida, which, by the way, has the ceiling covered with hanging dollar bills. Note to 'you know who," the taxes were paid on the income...
Moving on... Linda and were sitting there awaiting for our food to arrive and I looked up at the ceiling and this is what I saw directly above my head The decor of the restaurant was nice, but this ceiling tile stood out for me.
Admittedly, I did change the color from bronze to black. To reiterate, Be sure to look around before finishing taking the pictures that you intended to take. There may be more.
