The pictures of Gresham's Mill are different compositions.  The first picture was posted previously.  One of the tips that is given for taking a picture is to move to a different spot from which to take a photo.  Another is to look around from where one is standing to get a different perspective, which is the case for this photo.  The photos 'tell' different stories. 

 

The photo of this daisy was taken in our backyard.  Normally, I would need a tripod to hold the camera steady for a close up shot, but this time the camera was hand-held.

Linda and I had daisies at our wedding on June 14, 1969...  "She loves me... She loves me not... She loves me ...still!!!  And I her.

We went on a local excursion yesterday the Kennesaw State University and beyond.  I was impressed with the campus, never having bee there before.  We went there to eat in the cafeteria, known as 'The Commons.
You need to Google 'The Commons at KSU" and read about it.

Although, on a summer schedule, it was delightful to eat there.  It definately was not as the dining hall when I went to college.  The have a number of service kiosks, most were not open today,  most likely due to it was a Saturday, from which to get a variety of the daily fair. My first stop was for an omelette, made to order.  I did finish off my meal with a Canoli from the bakery/desert. kiosk.

We left Knnesaw State and took a 10 minute ride to the Civil War and Locomotive Museum on Cherokee Street.  The General, of the "The Great Locomotive Train" is the feature, however, much more of the Civil War is presented.  I have driven past the museum ofter and never stopped to visit.  I am very happy to have been there.

 

On the way home, we got off of I-575 (exit 11), Sixes road and drove about 1/2 mile West.  Gresham's Mill is on the right.  It is on private property and very little room to park.  Another item to search on Google.

 Not bad for all this within an hour of home.  Better yet, no shopping involved...or as my friend, Toney Boling says, "I did not have guard the car in the parking lot!"

I posted the first photo previously, having entitled it 'Rohrshach Test,' which was taken from a moving automobile traveling about 40-45 MPH, as was the other photo posted today.

The test relies too much on the interpreter, which opens the results to their frame of reference.  I would prefer a black and white conclusion, not one that meddles into the gray area.  Anyway, I like to stare at this type of picture and try to find something in it, much like 'Where's Waldo.'

In the first picture, I see a hairy, cyclops on it side.  Flip the picture 90 degrees to the right and my cyclops is upright.

 

The next picture is the one that I put you to the test...

No interpretations! But, what do you see in the this picture.  Best to click on it once to enlarge it before staring at it.  My recommendation is to stare at the picture from different lengths; closer to the picture and a little further back from the photo.  I did not try it angled off the the right or left.

I see three things and probably could see something else if I stared long enough.

We drove to Brasstown Valley in Young Harris, GA for surprise day-trip for Linda and her sister, Tina.  A 'surprise' day-trip is were we start out and I do not tell Linda where we are going.

We ate lunch at the Brasstown Valley Resort, which I highly recommend.  All had the Salad Bar, which included a great Stuffed Potato Soup and a chef preparing a hot pasta dish as you choose what you want in it.  My sauce had shrimp, chicken, roasted tomatoes, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, bacon, kalamata olives, pesto, and Alfredo sauce.  There were four pastas from which to choose, but... I opted out of the pasta and ate my sauce creation, which was great!

The next picture is the view leaving the resort, as we headed for the next secret destination ...

which was Brasstown Bald

The next three pictures are looking East from Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia, which has an elevation 4784 feet.  As one looks our over the mountains, one sees why they are called the Smokies or Blue Ridge Mountain.

I took the first picture a few years ago of the 'backyard' of the Swan House.  I did not have it readily available when I posted the pictures that were taken on Saturday.

Thi photo is an HDR (High Dynamic Range) photo, in which at least three photos are put together.  The three photos have different exposures; one under exposed, one with normal exposure, and the last is over-exposed.  The software, Photomatix pro, takes the best parts and produces a combined photo, which then can be manipulated for further effect.

Our rabbit has been around alot and for long lengths of time, as long we stay in the house.  open the door and it is gone.  I have left a carrot now and then and it appears to like it.

After we picked up Linda's sister, Tina, at the airport on Saturday, we stopped at the Swan Coach House for lunch, which is off West Paces Road in the Buckhead section of Atlanta.

It is located at/near the Atlanta Historical Center.  The is the Center, the Swan Coach House Restaurant and Gift Shoppe, The Swan House, the Smith-Tully Farm, and a few other entities, such as a Victorian Children's Playhouse.

I did make a comment while we we eating that there were only two men in the 'full' restaurant.  We stood out, but you get points ...

I have taken pictures of this bridge previously and wanted to show it from two different Black and White perspectives.  The first picture is right out of the camera...untouched.

The next picture was taken as an Infrared Photo and was post-processed.  This is my favorite IR photo  I had an camera just for IR, which I recently sold, but with the use of IR filters, IR photos can be taken with standard cameras.

The last photo was taken in color, but processed as a Black and White photo with more post-processing added.
